Clinical Observation On Vascular Dementia Treated By "Yi Qi Tiao Xue Fu Ben Pei Yuan" Acupuncture Therapy And Correlated Pathogenic Factors Analysis

Objective:To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of "yi qi tiao xue fb ben pei yuan"acupuncture therapy curing Vascular Dementia(VD)and analyze correlated pathogenic factors causing Vascular Dementia.Methods:Treatment group and control group with 30 cases in each one were both treated with inpatient routine therapies, such as "xing nao kai qiao"acupuncture and traditional Chinese herbs.Additionally, treatment group was treated with "yi qi tiao xue fu ben pei yuan"acupuncture therapy. Their therapeutic effects were compared after six weeks by certain mental and behavior lists.In addition,40 VD cases were compared with 97 common stroke cases in possible pathogenic factors.ResuIts:The efficiency rate was 80.0% in the treatment group versus 46.7% in the control group ,with significant difference between the two groups (P <0.05) . This therapy can improve patients' abilities of memorizing,regonizing and caculating.In the clinical analysis of correlated pathogenic factors,diffident and cranky character, more than two recurrence times,large area infarction,multiple infarction,infarction in frontal lobe,temporal lobe,parietal lobe, occipital lobe and thalamus(especially in frontal lobe,temporal lobe and thalamus)and Leukoaraiosis incidence have statistic meanings (P<0.05) .Conclusions: The clinical therapeutic effect of "Yi qi tiao xue Fu ben pei yuan"acupuncture therapy curing VD is positive.Compared with common stroke.the correlated pathogenic factors of VD are diffident and cranky character,more than two recurrence times.large area infarction,multiple infarction,infarction in frontal Iobe,temporal lobe,parietal lobe, occipital lobe, thalamus(especially in frontal lobe,temporal lobe and thalamus)and Leukoaraiosis.
