The Study Of The Treatment Of The Vascular Dementia Throuth Scalp Acupuncture Combined With Ear Acupuncture

It is one group of syndrome which core is disturbance of intelligence.And it is a chronic progressive disease,belonging to senile dementia.VaD owns the high prevalence rate,low survival rate and the low viability.so It not only results in patients' long-term suffering but also seriously effects their quality of life,as well as creates a heavy burden to the family,society and country.VaD contains many kinds of risk factors,such as elder age,lower educational level,smoking,drinking liquor,cardio-cerebral vascular diseases and etc.The high prevalence rate and the high risk of VaD bring a grave threat to us.Therefore,we have to take it seriously.At present modern medicine has no specific treatment for VaD,and acupuncture is widely applied in treating VaD.acupuncture has obvious advantages in improving VaD's symptoms.Through many years' tests and clinical researches, It is manifested that the scalp acupuncture therapy can improve VaD' s symptoms evidently,and it has a better clinic therapeutic effect.And so it is Worth applying.However,many problems are still left to be further investigated and solved,such as the lack of uniform diagnosis standards,efficacy scaling criteria for therapeutic effect,the best treatment juncture,acupuncture manipulation,part aequales parameter in the course of treatment,etc.Some covers reported are lack of effective control groups,and the time of the treatment has no criteria,and these covers are also lack of observation for prostecdtive efficacy.All of these shortcomings affect the therapeutic effectt's persuasion.At the same time,although ear Acupuncture has relational experimental researches on animals which testify that ear Acupuncture can treat VaD,but the clinical studies reported are relatively not so many.So ear Acupuncture is lack of persuasion on treating VaD.Based on many years's clinical works and experimental researches about treating vascular dementia using acupuncture and massage,the study through prospective clinical research method and correlation curative effect evaluation criterion is trying to evaluate objectively the therapeutic effect of the therapy which combines the scalp acupuncture and the ear acupuncture on treating VaD,to standardize therapeutic regimen,and to provide reliable evidences for clinical application.Method:In this study,120 patients of VaD were randomly divided into three groups for observation:the group of the scalp acupuncture combined ear acupuncture, the scalp acupuncture group and Western medicine group.Through the research method of prospective designing the study analyzed contradictionally the change in scores of MMSE,ADL and HDS between pretherapy and posttreatment, installed data bank which data was calculated,analyzed and discussed with the SPSS15.0 statistical software,And studied the therapeutic effect of the scalp acupuncture combined ear acupuncture on treating vascular dementia.Result:At last 118 patients with vascular dementia finished this study.First of all,the differences of sex,age and degree of the disease' s severity between the three groups had no statistical significance(P＞0.05).And the differences of the three scales'pretherapy scores between the three groups had no statistical significance(P＞0.05).The two things indicate that the three groups had observational comparability.Second,after treatment,the scores of HDS and MMSE of three groups of patients with VaD are significantly increased (P＜0.05),the scores of ADL are significantly decreased(P＜0.05).After treatment,compared with the western medicine group and the scalp acupuncture group,the differences of HDS and MMSE scores of which the group combined scalp acupuncture with ear acupuncture had statistical significance(P＜0.05). Compared with the scalp acupuncture group,the group which combined scalp acupuncture and ear acupuncture had no statistical significance in ADL Scale scores' differences(P＞0.05).Finally,compared on the efficacy of the three treatments,the group of scalp acupuncture combined with ear acupuncture is superior to western medicine group and scalp acupuncture group,the differences had statistical significance(P＜0.05).Conclusions:The therapeutic efficiency on treating vascular dementia of the group of scalp acupuncture combined with ear acupuncture is better than that of both the scalp group and the western medicine group.
