IntroductionGastric cancer is derived from the epithelial cells of the mucosa of stomach, which is the most common gastrointestinal malignant carcinoma. Its prognosis and the optimised therapy is directly connected with the infiltrition depth of the malignant cells and the lymphonode metastasis, so the preopretive TNM staging plays the most significant role in the prognosis and the optimised therapy. With the development of CT, CT shows more and more advantages and superiorities in the the preopretive TNM staging of gastric cancer.Materials and Methods1. Triphasic scanning of spiral CT performed in 30 patients with gastric cancer.2. Findings at triphasic scanning of spiral CT were compared with the post - operative histopathological results.3. 478 lymphonodes were resected in the operation after the MSCT scanning. All were compared with the scanning results of the MSCT.Results1. Accuracy of the preoperative staging of gastric cancer and advanced gastric cancer by triphasic scanning of spiral CT was 73.3% ,78.5%.2. Accuracy , sensitivity, specificity, positive likelihood ratio and negative likelihood ratio of gastric cancer were 73. 3% , 75. 0% , 70. 0% ,83. 3% , 58.3%.ConclusionTriphasic scanning of spiral CT is effective for detection of gastric cancerand preoperative staging, therefore it will show greater prospect in the preoperative staging in the future.
