The Research On Yang ShiYing's Spleen-Stomach Academic Thoughts

Yang Shiying was a famous doctor of Fujian in the Song Dynasty, he had rich clinical experiences in the treatment of pediatric diseases. Yang Shiying had made greate contribition to the development of the pediatrics,especially in the aspect of pediatrical spleen-stomach. The object of this thesis is a famous work of Yang shiying called Renzhai xiaoer fanglun. In order to develop the achievement of Yang Shiying and provide new thinking and expierence for today's TCM clinic, A lot of references of Yang shiying have been gathered and studied carefully, and the clinical distinguishing feature of Yang shiying in the aspect of pediatrical spleen-stomach has been summarized.The thesis give a brief account of Yang shiying' s life and his works. We have studied the history and the relative contents of Renzhai xiaoer fanglun, sum up the main historical origins of Yang shiying' s spleen and stomach academic thoughts and its contents, we found that Neijing and the theory of Zhang Zhongjing are the guidance of his acadimic thoughts, the physiological reaction and pathological mechanism are the base, yang shiying had followed and developed the acadimic thoughts of qianyi who was a famous pediatric phsician in the north Song Dynasty .Yang shiying also combined it with his clinical experience that handed down from the older generations of the family and come into the academic thoughts of his. Yang Shiying paiedattention to the spleen and the stomach when he use drugs, he also used drugs to harmonizing the spleen and the stomach. The treatment of spleen and stomach of Yang shiying is stressed on the changes of deficiency and excess, cold and heat, Qi and blood and the wholism relation of the organs. He not only regulated and nourished the spleen and the stomach, but also paied attention to the influence of other organs to the spleen and the stomach. The application of druge is good at sweet and warm for regulating and nourishing the spleen and the stomach, such as Panax ginseng, Poria cocos wolf, Atractylodes macrocephala doidz, Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch, Rhizama Dioscoreae, Pericarpium citrl Reticulatae, Vladimiria souliei Ling, Foeniculum vulgare Mill, Eugenia cary-ophyllata Thunb, and so on. Yang shiying not only used those drugs in the reinforcing prescription or reducing prescription, but also used in the warm prescription and cool prescription. Yang shiying used drugs of neutral nature to coordinate the function of the stomach and was careful in using drastic crude drugs. Yang shiying use reinforcing prescription and reducing prescription in combination and emphasized that the children should receive timely and accurate treatment so as not to impair the stomach or prolonged retention of evil qi.Yang shiying's elaboration and treatment on pediatric diseases, especially in the pediatrical spleen-stomach aspect, had its distinguishing feature. Yang shiying's academic Thoughts on Treating pediatric diseases are an active influence on descendants' treating pediatric diseases.
