With the development of social economy and the improvement of living standard, the incidence rate of cardiovascular disease is increasing. Cardiovascular disease has been the main disease that do harm to people's health. Researches show that atherosclerosis (AS) caused by lipid metabolism derangement was the main factor that causes the above-mentioned cardiovascular diseases. Lipid peroxidation plays an important role in the occurrence of AS diseases. According to researches the main reason is that lipid peroxidation reaction may cause contraction of endothelial cell and injury of form and structure (especially biomembrane systems). At the same time, production of lipid peroxidation makes lipid component of cell membrane transform, resulting in degeneration of cell intramembrane enzyme and protein, and thus destructs cellular structure and function. Therefore, the researches on lipid peroxidation and free radical response damage of organism attract people gradually. It is thought that now, during the accommodation course of organism lipid metabolism, some organism activity component also play important roles. Function of flavonoid has been followed with interest widespread by trophology realm. In the early 1960's, some scholars began to conduct investigation into the pharmacology action of Puerarin one after another. It is believed that Puerarin has the function of dilating coronary artery and cerebral vessel, decreasly myocardium oxygen consumption, ameliorating myocardium. The molecular structure of Puerarin is 8- B - D-Glucopyranose-4',7- bihydroxy isoflavoneglycoside and its content may be used as a stardard to evaluate the Puerarin, a Chinese traditional herbal medicine. It was reported that a long time 8g/kg Pur intervention could decrease the rats triglycerol level, but it was uncertain that the lower dose Pur(2g/kg) intervention could decrease the total cholesterol triglycerol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol levels. Furthermore, the specific mechanism of Puerarin's adjusting lipid metabolism, preventing and treating atherosclerosis is still not clear. The model in the research design is Hyperlipidemia rat evoked by hyper-lipid diet, and it will be observed to discover how Puerarin affects rat lipid metabolism, Thromboxane A2, Prostacyclin, NO and Endothelialnitric oxide synthase, scavenger receptor CD36 level, so the correlative mechanism of Puerarin intervention in AS prevention and treatment may be discussed further. Furthermore, theory basis will be provided for clinical application and development of healthmaintenance articles of Puerarin.Forty-eight adult Wistar rats are divided into four groups at random, namely basic forage group, hyper-lipid forage group. Group I of Puerarin intervention, group II of Puerarin intervention namely. And there are twelve rats in each group. These rats will be fed in different cages and they may take diet and water freely. We will weigh these rats one time every two weeks and write down their ingestion amount. Four weeks later, we will choose six rats randomly in each group as the first lot rats to deal with, including measuring blood reason-dissolve marker, taking pathological section constitution of liver, and aortic arch to detect marker related. Eight weeks later, the second lot rats will be dealt with, including measuring blood reason-dissolve marker, taking constitution pathological section of liver, aortic arch to detect marker related again and developing moniter to measure blood serum TG, TC, LDL-C and HDL-C content with enzyme unite chromatometry technique; to measure plasm PGI2 and TXA2 content with radio-immunity technique; To meature plasm NO content with Nitrate reductase technique; To measure expression of rats' aorto-wall eNOS and scavenger receptor CD36.
