With the development of social economy and the improvement of living standard, the incidence rate of cardiovascular diseases is increasing. Cardiovascular disease has been the main harmful factor to people's health. Researches had showed that Atherosclerosis (AS) caused by lipid metabolism derangement was the main factor that caused the above-mentioned cardiovascular diseases. Hyperlipoidemia always accompanied with hypercoagulabale state.Lipid peroxidation played important roles in the occurrence of AS diseases. According to research results, the main reason was that lipid peroxidation reaction could cause contraction of endothelial cell and injury of cyto-architecture (especially biomembrane system). At the same time, the production of lipid peroxide made lipid component of cell membrane changed, and induced degeneration of cell intramembrane enzyme and protein, then resulted in the destruction of cyto-architecture and cell's function. Therefore, the research on the harmful effects of lipid peroxidation attracts people attention gradually. In the regulated course of lipid metabolism, some biological active components have important effects. Among of these active components the function of garlic and oat had raised great interest of nutriology scholars. In 1970's, some scholars had begun to investigate the pharmacological action of garlic. It had confirmed that garlic had the activity of depressurization, droping blood-fat, inhibition depressurization and decreaing coronary arteriosclerosis. The sulfur compound was the most significant active component of garlic. The oat also had the pharmacological action of droping blood-fat. It could decrease the levels of TC, triglyeride (TG),low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) and increase the levels of high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C), meanwhile, it could inhibite bothplatelet agglutination and blood viscosity. There had some research on the effect of garlic and oat to lipid metabolism, but no satisfactory results had got. At this article, we studied the effects of allimin, oat and allimin-oat compound to lipid metabolism on hyperlipemia Wistar rat.The model of hyperlipemia rat was established used hyperlipmeals, then the effects of allimin, oat and compound of allimin-oat were observed which on the rats' TC, TG, LDL-C, HDL-C, apoA, apoB, apoC, apoE, TXA2, PGI2, NO, eNOS, scavenger receptor CD36 levels and hemorrheolog. On this base, the related mechanism may be identified about allimin and oat in AS prevention and cure, especially confirmed the effects of allimin-oat compound in lipid metabolism on hyperlipemia rat. Furthermore, the theory basis may be provided for clinical application and development of health care products of allimin and oat.Sixty adult Wistar rats were divided into five groups randomly, which was named basic forage group, hyperlipid forage proup, allimin low-dose experimental group(add allimin 6mg.kg'1.d"1 based on hyperlipid forage), allimin high-dose experimental group(add allimin Hmg.kg^.d'1 based on hyperlipid forage), allimin-oat compound experimental group(add oat 10 percent based on low-dose allimin) respectively. All rats were feed in different cages and took forage and water freely. The rats'weight were measured one time every two weeks and their ingestion amount were writed down. After four weeks, we killed thirty rats were choosed randomly six from each group and measured their blood biochemical indicator, made pathological section of liver, aortic arch to detect related marker. After eight weeks, the remaining thirty rats were dealed as aboved methods; otherwise, we measured dynamicly hemorrheology indicator, used enzyme unite chromatometry technique to monitor the blood serum levelsof TG, TC, LDL-C and HDL-C; measured apoA, apoB, apoC, apoE serum levels with immunity nephelometry; measured PGI2 and TXA2 plasm levels with radio-immunity technique; the NO plasm content with Nitrate reductase technique; to measure expression of rats' eNOS and scavenger receptor CD36 in aorto-wall and liver. Our result showed that the hyperlipid forage rats' content of blood serum TG, TC, LDL-C, ApoB, ApoE and AI increased significantly in HFF compared with the NF; the plasm levels of TXA2 and the ratio of TXA2/ PGI2 also increased significantly; the serum content of ApoA, ApoC and the plasm content of NO decreased significantly; theexpression of scavenger receptor CD36 was reinforced greatly. At the same time, compared with HFF, the blood serum contents of TG, TC, VLDL-C, LDL-C, ApoB, ApoE and AI decreased significantly, however HDL-C increased significantly in LGF,HGF and GOCF, the plasm content of TXA2> PGI2 and the odds of TXA2/ PGI2 decreased significantly; The plasm content of NO increased significantly, the expression of scavenger receptor CD36 decreases significantly, and notably increase the activity of eNOS, the serum of ApoA and ApoC increased significantly, but the change of GOCF are significantle even. The contents of the high, middle and the low blood viscosity, and plasma adhesion, blood reduction viscosity and hematocrit decreased significantly in GOCF.These researches confirm that garlic and oat which can improve lipid metabolism in the organism of rat, but the effect of GOCF is more significant than only with garlic or oat, which may facilitate lipid metabolism and hrperlipidemia and arfherosclerosis.
