The Effect Of Different Rocuronium Priming Methods On The Onset Time Of Vecuronium--The Clinical Research Of Shortening Priming Interval

Objective To compare the effects of Rocuronium priming with different dose and different priming interval on the onset time ofVecuronium and research the feasibility of shortening the priming interval. Methods 120 ASA physical status I and II patients undergoing elective surgical procedures, were randomly divided into six groups, 20 patients each group. Group I , II , III received a priming dose of Rocuronium 0. 06mg/kg and Vecuronium 0.09mg/kg for intubation,but the priming intervals were respectively 3, 2 and 1 minute. Group FV, V, VIreceived a priming dose of Rocuronium 0. 09mg/kg and Vecuronium 0. 085mg/kg for intubation, and the priming intervals were respectively 3x 2 and 1 minute.All groups were induced with Midazolam 0. 05 mg/kgx Fentanyl l~2Hg/kg,Etomidate 0. 3 mg/kg and Propofol 1 mg/kg successionally, intubation was attempted 60 seconds after intubating doses were administered.The course of depression of twitch response of adductor pollicis muscle were recorded and intubating conditions were evaluated. Results There was not significant difference of TI/ Tc,TOFr on the time of intubation and intubating conditions among all groups The onset time of Vecuronium and intubating conditions were not significantly different among the six groups too. Conclusion Reducing the priming interval to 1 minute would not eliminate the effect of rocuronium priming on the followed Vecuronium. It is feasible to shorten the priming interval to 1 minute in :the priming principle using Rocuronium and Vecuronium successionally.
