Intervention By Hua-jian-ba-du Membrane On Cancer Pain And Its Analgesic Mechanisms

Objective To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of the Hua-jian-ba-du membrane in treating cancer pain and discover its analgesic mechanisms and functionary targets. The work makes a massiness bases for further developing and investigating convenient, effective, safe and newfashioned external applied acesodyne with the traditional Chinese medicine.Methods The 260 cases of cancer pain in department of oncology were randomly divided into the treatment group (200 cases) and control group (60 cases) to observed the clinical therapeutic effect of the external Hua-jian-ba-du membrane, which cures the cancer pain compared with oral Tramadol. The experiment used glacial acetic acid of mice' body twisting as model and observed the related signs of laboratory to the influence of pain. The data were analysed with statistics. Results1. Hua-jian-ba-du membrane has significant analgesic effect in clinic about mild and moderate pain. 260 cancer pain patients were randomly allocated to either treatment group or control group. The treatment group were covered the Hua-jian-ba-du membrane to the patient's skin of different area of pain. The control group took the Tramadol orally, Seven days were regarded as one period of treatment. Comparing with the two groups in analgesic effect and analgesic intensity, the difference was not significant (P > 0.05). Hua-jian-ba-du membrane had a more rapid acesodyne effect than oral Tramadol's. The analgesic time of two groups has no significant difference. Hua-jian-ba-du membrane reacted within thirty minutes and reached the analgesic peak after two hours, and also had continual effect after eight hours. Hua-jian-ba-du membrane had more significant analgesic effect on breast and back than other regions. Analgesic effect on lung cancer was the best. Bowel cancer, mammary cancer and liver cancer were better than pancreatic cancer. Hua-jian-ba-du membrane can improve the quality of life of patients remarkably. Furthermore Hua-jian-ba-du membrane was safe in using because patients showed no side effect.2. The animal experiment of analgesic mechanisms about Hua-jian-ba-du membrane have showed: Hua-jian-ba-du membrane had significant analgesic effect in mice twisting reaction of glacial acetic acid. When the pain occured in mice, the content of -EP in pituitary, 5-HT in nucleus raphes dorsalis and IL-2 in blood serum decreased in different degree, however, the content of PGE2 in celiac liquid increased clearly. The external Hua-jian-ba-du membrane had obvious antagonistic action for them. It showed that its analgesic mechanisms was closely related with the antagonistic action of the decrease about P -EP, 5-HT , IL-2 and the increase of PGEi. Conclusion It is for improving the quality of the patients' life to observe the clinical therapeutic effect of Hua-jian-ba-du membrane in treating cancer pain and its analgesic mechanisms and functionary targets. It has showed that Hua-jian-ba-du membrane has significant analgesic effect in clinic about mild and moderate pain. The target is defmitude. Patients show no side effect. So it is worth using in clinic.
