Objective:To investigate expression of androgen and estrogen receptors in the rat claustrum and lumbosacral enlargement; Also, to deduce the relationship between them. Methods: 80 sexually matureated rats was selected randomly. 48 (half of them are male the others are female) of them was served as classically castrated rat test model and to operate ovariectomy or orchectomy .They are devided into 6 groups; that is, 1.after ovariectomy operation given estrogen injection group, 2.after ovariectomy operation given androgen injection group, 3.after orchectomy operation given estrogen injection group, 4.after orchectomy operation given androgen injection group, 5.ovariectomy operation group, 6.orchectomy operation group. Similarly, residual 32 rats was had conducted false operation be divided into four groups: 1.normal female rats androgen injection group, 2.normal male rats androgen injection group, 3.normal female rats group, 4.normal male rats group.all the above ten groups; expression of AR and ER is detected and analysed by immunohistochemical method. Result: The positive expression rate of AR in every group was respectively both in claustrum and lumbosacral enlargement. 1.after ovariectomy operation given estrogen injection group is 37.5% (3/8), 37.5%(3/8), 2. after ovariectomy operation given androgen injection group is 75%(6/8),50% (4/8); 3.after orchectomy operation given estrogen injection group is 25% (2/8), 25% (2/8); 4.after orchectomy operation given androgen injection group is87.5% (7/8), 75% (6/8); 5.ovariectomy operation group is 75%(6/8), 50%(4/8); 6.orchectomy operation group is 28.5%(2/7), 28.5%(2/7); 7.normal female rats androgen injection group is 50%(4/8), 37.5%(3/8); 8.normalmale rats androgen injection group is 50%(4/8), 50%(4/8); 9. normal female rats group is 100%(8/8), 87.5%(7/8); 10.normal male rats group is 87.5%(7/8), 75%(6/8). Among them; after orchectomy operation given androgen injection group and orchectomy operation group; normal male rats androgen injection group and normal male rats group; orchectomy operation group and normal male rats group; normal female rats androgen injection group and normal female rats group; orchectomy operation group and ovariectomy operation group have a significance differences (P <0.05) on statistics. However, after orchectomy operation given estrogen injection group and orchectomy operation group; normal male rats group and normal female rats group; normal female rats group and orchectomy operation group; after orchectomy operation given estrogen injection group and ovariectomy operation group have no differences on statistics (P>0.05). Simlarily, The positive expression rate of ER in every group was respectively both in claustrum and lumbosacral enlargement. 1.after ovariectomy operation given estrogen injection group is 87.5%(7/8), 75%(6/8), 2.after ovariectomy operation given androgen injection group is 87.5%(7/8), 50%(4/8), 3.after orchectomy operation given estrogen injection group is 50%(4/8), 62.5%(5/8), 4.after orchectomy operation given androgen injection group is87.5(7/8), 50%(4/8); 5.ovariectomy operation group is 37.5%(3/8), 37.5%(3/8); 6.orchectomy operation group is 71.43%(5/7), 71.43%(5/7); 7.normal female rats androgen injection group is 50%(4/8), 25%(2/8); 8.normal male rats androgen injection group is 100%(8/8), 87.5%(7/8); 9.normal female rats group is 100%(8/8), 75%(6/8); 10.normal male rats group is 87.5 %(7/8), 87.5%(7/8). Among them; ovariectomy operation group and normal female rats group; ovariectomy operation group and after ovariectomy operation given estrogen injection group; after ovariectomy operation given androgen injection group ovariectomy and normal female rats group have a significance differences on statistics (P < 0.05 .However, afterorchectomy operation group and normal male rats group; after orchectomy operation given estrogen injection group and orchectomy operation group; normal male rats group and normal female rats group; normal male rats androgen injection group and normal male rats group have no difference...
