A Study Of Flowing Electrolyzed Oxidaxing Water Cleaning And Disinfection Of Gastroscope Contaminated With Bacillus Subtilis Var.niger Spore

ObjectiveTo evaluate the germicidal effect of flowing EOW produced by automatic disinfection machine of endoscope, and attempt to confirm the best and shortest disinfectant time.Materials and methods1 Neutralizing test of EOWAccording to the suspension quantitative germicidal test, this test was divided into 6 parallel groups, namely disinfector added suspension, disinfector added suspension and neutralizer, neutralizer added suspension, disinfector added neutralizer and suspension, diluent added suspension, diluent added neutralizer and culture medium.2 Suspension quantitative germicidal testUse EOW to kill spores of bacillus subtilis var. niger, which was intermixed with 3% bovine serum albumin. At the prearranged time, samples was taken to cultivated with TSA(culture medium) in the 37 centigrade constant temperature box. After 72 hour, we accounted the floras on the plate and calculated kill logarithm.3 Simulated testComparing with flowing tap water, flowing EOW was used to kill spores of bacillus subtilis var. niger, which was smeared on gastroscopic body, biopsy hole and biopsy. Samples were also cultivated and calculated.4 Standard1 Standard of Neutralizing testAs the result, if there is no flora on NO 6 plate, and the difference is no more than 15% among NO 3, NO 4 and NO 5, floras on NO 1 are fewer than on NO 2, floras on NO 2 are less than that on NO 3, NO 4 or NO 5, thus we consider the neutralizer and its concentration is reasonable.2 Standard of Suspension quantitative germicidal testKL equals floras' logarithm of control groups subtract that of studied groups. If KL≥5, results is good.3 Standard of simulated testIf KL≥5, we say results is fine.Results1 Results of neutralizing test: EOW could be neutralized by phosphate buffer composed of 0.07% lecithin, 0.05% sodium thiosulfate and 2% Tween-80.2 Results of suspension quantitative germicidal test: For spores of bacillus subtilis var. niger, KL was more than 5 at 30 minutes.3 Results of simulated test: After 20 minutes, KL was more than 3 if using flowing EOW, but KL was less than 3 if using flowing tap water.ConclusionSpores of Bacillus subtilis var. niger smeared on gastroscopic body,biopsy hole and biopsy can be disinfected completely with flowing EOW after 20 minutes. So it is practical, effective and safety of flowing EOW to disinfect gastroscope.
