[Background] The patients with chronic soft tissue lesion(CSTL) have been treated with the warming up silver-needle therapy(WSNT) for a long time. But the rational basis for the use of this therapy still rests on the clinical experiences and few studies. The primary conclusions drawn from past studies show that WSNT can relax the muscle spasms ,ease inflammation reaction and improve the blood supply of local soft tissue chronically lesion. It is gradually demonstrated in later years that celluar factors play a very important role in inflammation reaction caused by acute soft tissue injury .And it is still unknown that the level of IL-8 Serum in chronic soft tissue lesion. To get further understanding of the complex mechanisms for silver-needle in treating CSTL, the present study is conducted to set up the animal model of chronic soft tissue lesion in rabbits, to explore warming-up silver needles therapy the effect on pathology of chronic soft tissue lesion and to test the level of IL-8 Serum in chronic soft tissue lesion rabbits.[Methods and results] Three New Zealand rabbits were fixed upper extremities. The lower extremities were performed flex-extension exercise range from 0-90 degree, repeated 60 times /min,60min/day,14 days. The lower extremities in control group were fixed and not moved. The rabbits were sacrificed on 14th after exercising. Skeletal muscle specimens in each group were examined by histopathology (HE) and the level of IL-8 were testd by ELISA methods. The myoblast proliferation, capillarization and amalgamation of myoblast and somewhat fiberalization were seen under the microscope. The average level of IL-8 were 40.48 to 408.12pg/ml from...
