The Clinical Research On Jin's 3-Needle And Exercise Therapy To Treat Children Spastic Cerebral Palsy

Objective:Observe the clinical effect that treat spastic cerebral palsy with Jin' s 3-Needle and exercise therapy. Provide an effective comprehensive method to treat cerebral palsy.Method: The study is based on the diagnosis criterion which was instituted by National Cerebral Palsy Discussion Meeting at Heilung-kiang in 1988. We have selected suitable cases from Jin' s 3-Needle Center at Bank Hospital in Guangzhou and Cerebral Palsy Treating Center at Fetomaternal Health Hospital in Nanhai Area since June, 2003 to Jan, 2005. There are 27 cases in Jin' s 3-Needle group,28 cases in exercise group, 30 cases in colligation group. The Jin' s 3-Needle prescription:The Four Spirit Points, The 3-Points in the Temporal Area, The 3-Occipital Points, The 3-Points for intelligence. Dialectical selecting points: upper extremity palsy select The 3-Arm Points, lower extremity palsy select The 3-Points to Treat wilting, polysialia select The 3-Tongue Points. Operation: Acupuncture head' s points flatly into 1 cun and extremities' points vertically into routine depth. Leave the needle 30 minutes and move it 1 time per 10 minutes. Acupuncture 1 time per day and 5 times per week. 3 months is a period of treatment. After a period of treatment observe the effect. Exercise group' s patients were asked to do functional exercises based on their specific conditions. The exercises included head controlling functional exercises, upper limb functional exercises, lower limb functional exercises, turning over exercise, sitting exercise, climbing exercise, standing exercise, walking exercise, hand moving exercise and so on. Exercise 1 time per day, 5 times per week. 3 months is a period of treatment.
