Objective To observe the changes and the clinical relevance of cardiac troponin T(cTnT) and cardiac troponin I(cTnI)levels in serum of congestive heart failure patients in different phases and the changes in coronary heart disease and noncoronary heart disease. Methods Plasma samples were obtained from 60 patients with congestive heart failure (the case group) and 20 healthy volunteers (the control group). The serum cTnT and cTnI levels were measured by radio fluorescent immunoassay. The results were analysed statistically. Results 1.Serum cTnT levels; In first degree congestive heart failure group, the serum cTnT level was significantly lower than that of the second degree heart failure group (P<0.05) and the lowest than that of the third degree group(P<0.01).In second degree heart failure group, the serum cTnT level was significantly lower than that of the third degree group (P<0.05).In first degree congestive heart failure group, the serum cTnT level was significantly lower than that of the normal control group (P<0.05).In second degree group and the third degree group, the serum cTnT levels were significantly much lower than that of the normal control group (P<0.01).In the coronary heart disease group and the noncoronary heart disease group, the serum cTnT level was significantly higher than that of the normal control group (P<0.01);both were of no significance(P>0.05).2. Serum cTnI levels:In the first degree congestive heart failure group, the cTnI level was significantly lower than that of the second degree heart failure group(P<0.05)and the lowest than that of the third degree heart failure group(P<0.01).In the second degree heart failure group, the serum cTnI level was significantly lower than that of the third degree group (P<0.01).In the first degree group, the cTnI level was higher than that of the normal control group(P<0.05). In the second degree group and the third degree group, the serum cTnI levels were significantly lower than that of the normal control group(P<0.01).In the coronary heart disease group and the noncoronary heart disease group, the serum cTnI level was significantly higher than that of the normal control group(P<0.01); both were of no significance(P>0.05).Serum CK-MB levels:All of the first degree group serum CK-MB level, the second degree group serum CK-MB level, the third degree group serum CK-MB leveland the normal control group serum CK-MB levelwere of no significance. All of the coronary heart disease group serum CK-MB level, the noncoronary heart disease group serum CK-MB level and the normal control group serum CK-MB level were of no significance.4. Correlation analysis shows that the serum cTnT and the cTnI levels in the first degree, the second degree and the third degree heart failure group is no correlated to the serum CK-MB(P>0.05).Conclusion 1 .he serum cTnT and the serum cTnI levels are overproduced in congestive heart failure patients, that of the third degree heart failure is the highest, the following is the second degree heart failure groud. It indicates that the serum cTnT and the serum cTnI levels are correlated with the severe in congestive heart failure patients, the more high the serum cTnT and the serum cTnI levels, the more severe degree.2. The serum cTnT and cTnI levels are equal in the coronary heart disease group and the noncoronary heart disease group, it indicates that it is no correlation between the injury of the myocardial cell in congestive heart failure patients and the category of basic heart disease.3. It is no correlation that the serum cTnT and cTnI levels in congestive heart failure patients and CK-MB,which reflects acute myocardial injury normally.
