Objective: To present theoretical basis for wide clinic application of human-hair keratin artificial tendon during eight-years systematic followed-up of patients receiving transplantation of human-hair keratin artificial tendon in my hospital and comprehensive evaluation of long-term postoperative influence on patients .Method: The evaluation of curative effect according to Jenkins criteria after 7 items investigated by questionnaire, followed-up or interview : (1) incision healing (2) topical incision representation (3) immune impulsion state (4) adhesion (5) postoperative rehabilitation time (6) postoperative suffering limb muscle strength measurement (7) postoperative joint function restoration evaluation criteria.Result: 66 patients suffered from tenons , ligaments and nervous injung were operated by using human-hair Keratin artificial tendon materials, 53 patients were got subsequent survey during eight-years. 6 patients were found accumulated fluid beneath incision , which frazzles and is negative after germ culture and were healed by treatment with 1 month . The rest 47 patients' incisions were healed excellently within 6-8 weeks, no painful, uncomfortable feelings, no repulsion , no postoperative adhesion except 2 cases whose basic functions are not affected . 46 patients achieve excellent muscle strength , 5 favorable and 2 certifying according to postoperative measurement, while 43 achieve excellent joints function, 8 favorable and 2 certifying according to postoperative restoration evaluation. Postoperative comprehensive evaluation: All patients' functions have significantly improved postoperatively.Conclusion: The human-hair keratin artificial tendon is agreeable to human body, most patients' incisions heal excellent , no repulsion, no adhesion but quick rehabilitation . It is biocompatible and suitable as an ideal tendon transplanted materials.
