Objective: To value the relevance of expressions of epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) , Ki67 in different histological types of colorectal tumors. Methods: EGFR , Ki67 were detected by immunohistochemistrical SP method in 115 cases of colorectal polyps (inflammatory polyps) ,adenoma and adenocarcinoma confirmed by endoscopy and pathologic diagnosis, and the results were analyzed statistically. Results: EGFR expression was mainly located in cell membrane, Ki67 expression was mainly located in nucleus. The positive rate of EGFR in colorectal polyps, adenoma and adenocarcinoma were 38.09%,71.86%,74.19%,respectively; The positive rate of Ki67 in colorectal polyps, adenoma and adenocarcinoma were 14.29%,53.13%,93.55%.The differences of EGFR expressive intensity were significant between colorectal polyps and adenoma (X~2=6.006,P<0.05) .The expressive intensity was no significant difference between adenoma and adenocarcinoma (X~2=0.061,P>0.05). The differences of EGFR expressive intensity were obviously significant between colorectal polyps and adenocarcinoma (X~2=9.123,P<0.01) .The differences of Ki67 expressive intensity was significant between colorectal polyps and adenoma(X~2=6.501,P<0.05),and were all obviously significant between adenocarcinoma and adenoma , colorectal polyps (X~2=18.768,46.22; P<0.001,0.001 ) .Linear positive correlation was not found in adenocarcinoma between the expressive intensity of EGFR and Ki67(r=0.505,P=0.495). The positive rate of EGFR in tubular adenoma and tubulovillous were 98.3% , 70.4% respectively.Whereas the positive rate of Ki67 in tubular adenoma and tubulovillous were 78.6%, 70.4%,respectively.The expression of EGFR and Ki67 in those two types were of no significant difference(P>0.05).The expressions of EGFR and Ki67 were high (>60% ) in all types of adenocarcinoma. Conclusion: The expressions of EGFR, Ki67 have no significant relevance with polyps; the positive expression of EGFR may be no use in diagnosing colorectal cancers; whereas the positive expression of Ki67 may be...
