Objective:To study the relationship between risk factors and coronary lesionsin young, middle-aged and old male patients with coronary artery disease .Method:421 male patients were divided into three groups :youth group(younger than 45)135 cases, middle-aged group(younger than 65 and olderthan 45)208 cases, elderly group(older than 65)78 cases, comparing their riskfactors and numbers of branch of coronary lesions. The risk factors include :body mass index(BMI),total blood cholesterol(TC),the level of triglyceride(TG),low density lipoprotein(LDL),high density lipoprotein(HDL),apoprotein A(apoA),apoprotein B(apoB),the ratio of apoprotein A andapoprotein B(apoA/apoB),the ratio of low density lipoprotein and high densitylipoprotein(LDL/HDL),the ratio of total blood cholesterol and high densitylipoprotein(TC/HDL),smoking and the numbers of smoking, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and blood glucose, positive family history.Result:(1)There were not difference in TC,LDL,HDL,apoA,apoB,theindex of smoking, diabetes mellitus and the blood glucose among the threegroups(p>0.1)(2)There were difference in apoA/apoB and LDL/HDL amongthe three groups(p<0.1).(3)There were significantly difference in BMI,TG,TC/HDL,smoking,hypertension,positive family history and numbers of branchof coronary lesions among the three groups(p<0.05).(4)Between young groupand middle-aged group, apoA/apoB,LDL/HDL and TC/HDL were notdifference(p>0.1),BMI was difference(p<0.1),TG,smoking and positivefamily history were significantly difference(p<0.05),hypertension was moresignificantly difference(p<0.0125);(5)Between young group and old group ,apoA/apoB was difference(p <0.1),BMI,TG,LDL/HDL and TC/HDL weresignificantly difference(p<0.05),smoking,hypertension and positive familyhistory were more significantly difference(p<0.0125); (6) Between middle-agedgroup and old group,BMI,TG,hypertension and positive family history werenot difference(p>0.1),apoA/apoB and LDL/HDL were difference(p<0.1),TC/HDL was significantly difference(p<0.05),smoking was more significantlydifference(p<0.0125).Conclusion:Smoking,hypertension,positive family history, obesity, high levelof triglyceride ,low level of the ratio of apoprotein A and apoprotein B,highlevel of the ratio of low density lipoprotein and high density lipoprotein, highlevel of the ratio of total blood cholesterol and high density lipoprotein weremainly risk factors for coronary artery disease of young man. Most of them wassingle vessel disease, multivessel disease were very shrimpy.
