Objective:63 cases of the tumors of digestive tract, 13 cases of breast cancers, 15 cases of lung cancers and 20 cases of pulmonary tuberculoses were studied in the research on the types and the distribution of infiltrated inflammatory cells in cancerous tissue. The study was to obtain a deeper comprehension on the research direction of immune against cancers and to make good morphological basis for further studying immune against cancers. Methods:The samples which were 2004.2~2002.10, including 63 cases of the tumors of digestive tract, 13 cases of breast cancers, 15 cases of lung cancers and 20 cases of pulmonary tuberculoses were collected from our affiliated hospital. Of the alimentary tumors, there were 20 cases of cardiac carcinoma,12 cases of esophageal carcinomas, 18 cases of gastric carcinomas and 13 cases of colorectal carcinomas. Routine HE staining and immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining (single and double staining) were used in the study, the specific antibodies, CD3 was staining for total T cells, CD8 for CD8+T cells, CD20 for B cells, CD1αfor immature dendritic cells (DC), CD83 for mature DC, the antibody Macrophage cell marker for macrophages. The results were observed under microscope, and statistic analyses were done. Results: 1 Morphological observation 1.1 The inflammatory cells in the alimentary tumor tissues infiltrated heavily and extensively, the variety of them was various, including abundant lymphocytes, macrophages, neutrophils and acidophils. In some areas, the boundary of cancer nest became unclear due to the heavy inflammatory infiltration. 1.2 The inflammatory cells in breast cancer tissues were mainly lymphocytes and macrophages. 1.3 In lung cancer, the inflammatory cells were mainly lymphocytes and macrophages, in some cases, a large number of acidophils were seen. 1.4 There were abundant epithelioid cells, Langhans giant cells and lymphocytes seen in pulmonary tuberculosis. 2 Immunohistochemical staining The immunohistochemical result analysis from alimentary tumors (including esophageal carcinoma, cardiac carcinoma, gastric carcinoma and colorectal carcinoma), breast cancers and lung cancers showed that the distribution of inflammatory cells in mentioned cancerous tissues were similar. All of them were that CD3+T lymphocytes, CD8+T lymphocytes infiltrated in cancerous stroma and cancerous nest and locatedsporadically. CD20+B lymphocytes situated in cancer stroma mainly in the form of lymphatic follicles. Mcm + macrophages were seen in cancer nest and cancer stroma. CD1α+ dendritic cells (DC) were only seen in cancer nests of breast cancer, not seen in other mentioned tumorous tissues. CD83+DCs were seen in the tissues of cardiac carcinomas and lung cancer. The analysis of the relation between the infiltration of the various inflammatory cells and the tumorous histopathological types showed that there were no relation between the number of CD3+T lymphocytes, CD8+T lymphocytes and Mcm+macrophages and the histophathological types of esophageal carcinoma, breast cancer and lung cancer. The relation between the number of CD3+T lymphocytes, CD8+T lymphocytes and Mcm+macrophages in cardiac carcinomas, gastric carcinoma and colorectal carcinomas and the degree of cancerous differentiation was also analyzed preliminarily. The result was that the number of CD3+T lymphocytes and CD8+T lymphocytes in high, medial-differentiated groups was significantly more than that in low-differentiated groups, and the number of Mcm+ macrophages in high, medial-differentiated groups was significantly less than that in low-differentiated groups. In addition, statistic analysis showed that in all mentioned tumors the number of CD3+T lymphocytes, CD8+T lymphocytes of no-lymph node-metastasis groups were significantly more than that of lymph node-metastasis group. The number of Mcm+macrophages in no-lymph node-metastasis groups were significantly less than that in lymph node-metastasis groups. There were abundant CD3+T lymphocytes in pulmonary tuberculosis which situated in the periphery of tubercles, also...
