ObjectiveTo study the clinical manifestation and diseased region and pathological type of the primary malignant tumor of the duodenum, Otherwise how to select the auxiliary examination and some misdiagnosis cases were also described in this article.MethodThe data of 53 cases of the primary malignant tumor of the duodenumduring January, 1998 to December,2004 were analyzed retrospectively.ResultsClinical manifestation was non-specificity, They can be abdominal pain, abdominal distention, jaundice, bowel obstruction or bleeding. The average internal from onset to be diagnosed was 3.5 months. The tumor was predilection in the descending part of the duodenum, 45 cases, while 4 in bulbar zone , 4 in the horizontal part and none in the ascending part. The main pathological type is adenocarcinoma, 90.5%.Correct diagnosis rates of image examination were EPCP 95%, Gl 92%, gastroscope 80%, CT 76% and Ultrasound 59%, We should bind these auxiliary examinations exactly to raise the diagnostic rate.ConclusionsEarly diagnosis is the key point to increase the survival rate of the PMTD, So we should vigilant some clinical manifestation that could not be explain by the normal disease and use multiple auxiliary examinations to achieve this purpose.
