| Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of a selected plasma exchange artificial liver support system in the treatment of severe hepatitis. Methods 24 patients with severe hepatitis were treated with the selected plasma exchange artificial liver support system. Clinical sympton, serum biochemistry and adverse effect were detected before and after the therapy. Results After each replacement, the clinical symptom has been improved in some degree. The serum ALT, AST, ALP ,CHE, TBA, TBIL, DBIL, PT and BUN have remarkable signification (P<0.01) .The serum ALB, GLB, Cr and electrolyte were inapparent (P>0.05) . The survival rate is 66.67%, which is according with the efficacy of a pute plasma exchange. Conclusions The selected plasma exchange can eliminate toxin in patients with severe hepatitis efficiently, but supply the requisite substance. It is suggested that the selected plasma exchange is one of the efficient ALSS for the patients with severe hepatitis. Compare with a simple plasma exchange, it can economize plasma, and be a more safe means. |
