Objective To study the relation between the expression of MMP-7 Ki-67 in Ovarian cancer. Methods The expression of MMP-7 Ki-67 in tissues of 45 patients with malinant epithelial ovarian tumors were analyzed by immunnhistochemistry, and compared with those of 15 benign epithelial ovarian tumors samples. Results The expressions of MMP-7 were obsersed in 13.33% and 46.67% of benign, and malignant ovarian tumors respectively. The expressions of Ki-67 were obsersed in 0 and 57.78% of benign, and malignant ovarian tumors respectively.Expression rates of MMP-7 and in malignant ovarian tumors were significantly higher than those in begnin tumors ( P<0.05 ) .In these groups of clinical late term, poor histologic differentiation their level increased also remarkedly all (P < 0.05 ) .But there was not statistical significance in various histologic types (P > 0.05 ) .Close positive relation was observed between the expression of Ki-67and surgical stages and tumor histological grade ( P<0.005 ) .there were significant correlations between the expression of MMP-7 and Ki-67 ( P<0.05 ) .Conclusion MMP-7 and Ki-67 may play important roles in the development of the ovarian carcinoma, and are useful in judging the malignant grade and prognosisof astrocytoma.
