Objective:To investigate the Jin-Qi-Jiang-Tang tablet on the aorta endothelial cells function and it's mechanism in DM rats. At the same time,to observe the protection effect of Jin-Qi-Jiang-Tang tablet on the vascular endothelial cells in diabetes mellitus (DM) with macrovascular complications patients.Method: Twenty DM rats model with streptozotocin (STZ) was classified into two groups: A group.ten DM rats, without treatment. B group, ten DM rats, with Jin-Qi-Jiang-Tang tablet treatment. Another ten normal rats set up as C group. After ten weeks,execute all rats, and study the change of aorta endothelial cells, the nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kB) expression, the level of blood glucose (BG), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) and serum endothelin-1 (ET-1), intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1). Fourty group type 2DM with macrovascular complications patients was randomly divided into two groups: A group (control), twenty patients with conventional treatment; B group (treatment), twenty with conventional medicine and Jin-Qi-Jiang-Tang tablet . Treat cycle was 3 months. Before and after the treatment, all patients were observed the level of fasting plasm glucose (FBG), 2h postprandial blood glucose (2hPG), hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C, ET-1, ICAM-1, tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-a), P-selectin.Result: In rat model, after ten weeks.in B group, the endothelial cell structure was orderly arranged, the nuclei and organelle is normal on the whole, close to C group. While in A group, the endothelial cell structure was in chaos, the basement membrane was uncontinuous, the elastic and collagenous fiber was confusedly distributed, with deposit of advanced glycation end-products (AGEs) and inflammatory cells infiltration.
