Clinical Study On Chronic Heart Failure Treated With WenBuXinShenFang And Its Therapeutic Mechanism

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of WenBuXinShenFang for chronic heart failure (CHF) and to study its therapeutic mechanism.Methods: 73 patients with Ⅱ —Ⅳ grade (NYHA) cardiac function in ward were chosen randomly, and divided into treatment group(WenBuXinShenFang and western medicine ,n=37) and control group(western medicine, n=36).Results: The total effective rate was 89.2% in treatment group and 75% in control group; the treatment group showed better effects than that in control group (P<0.05) as well as in alleviating TCM symptoms and cardiac function. Meanwhile the treatment group can reduce the levels of ET(endothelins), ALD(aldosterone), AngⅡ(angiotensin) and enhance the indexes of left ventricle function.Conclusions: The results showed that WenBuXinShenFang had better therapeutic effects on chronic heart failure, the therapeutic mechanism may be related to its effects of reducing neural endocrine hormone and ameliorating left ventricle function.
