Objective: To investigate the difference of bone mineral density(BMD) in thesouth and the north of guangxi , and the relationship among bone mass index(BMI),age at menarche , age at first delivery , total time of lactation , number of delivery ,physical activity , milk intake and BMD , bone metabolism, and provideevidence for osteoporosis prevention and treatment. Methods: To apply to the same questionnaire on 120 women, and todetermine the urine Calcium(Ca) and Creatine (Cr) , serum total alkalinephosphatese(ALP) , and to count the ratio of urine Ca and Cr(Ca/Cr), and toexamine the BMD at lumbar spine 2~4(L2~4), femur neck(Neck), Ward'striangle(Wards) , trochanter(Troch) and total of proximal femur(Total) by DEXA .Result : The urine ratio of Ca/Cr in the south is lower than in the north, andthe value of BMD in L2~4,,Troch and the value of serum ALP, is higher , P<0.05.Urine ratio of Ca/Cr in low-weight group is higher than in both normal weight andoverweigh groups, and the value of serum ALP , BMD in L2~4 ,Neck,Wards,Troch and Total is lower than the both, P<0.05 . The value of BMD of Neck ,Total in normal weight group is lower than in overweight, P<0.05. Urine ratio ofCa/Cr , value of serum ALP in the group ,which age at menarche is higher 18years , is higher than in age lower 15, the value of BMD of L2~4,Wards,Total islower , P<0.05. Urine ratio of Ca/Cr is higher than in age between 15 and 18 , thevalue of BMD in Total is lower , p<0.01. Urine ratio of Ca/Cr , value of serum ALPin the group ,which age of first delivery is lower 25 years , is higher than in agehigher 25 , P<0.05. There is no difference of BMD in both groups(p>0.05). Urineratio of Ca/Cr , value of serum ALP in the group ,which total time of lactation isequal or more than 2 years, is higher than in time equal or less than 1 years, and thevalue of BMD of L2~4,Wards is lower , p<0.05. The value of BMD in L2~4,Neck,Total is lower in the group ,which number of delivery is equal or more than 4, thanin number of delivery equal or less than 2, p<0.05 ,and more distinctly in Wards,p<0.01. There is no difference of bone metabolism in both groups (p>0.05). Urineratio of Ca/Cr in physical activity group is lower than in control group, and thevalue of BMD of L2~4,Wards,Neck,Total is higher , p<0.05. Urine ratio of Ca/Cr ,value of serum ALP in milk intake group is lower than in control group, and thevalue of BMD is higher in L2~4,Wards,Neck,Total, p<0.05.Conclusion: The chance of osteoporosis is lower in the south than in thenorth of guangxi. Low weight , low bone mass index, delayed age at menarche ,early age at first delivery, multiparous, long breast-feeling time are risk factors ofosteoporosis. Habitual physical activity and milk intake are useful to preventingand treating osteoporosis. The population with risk factors should be prevent andtreat it early.
