Psoriasis is a common chronic inflammatory skin disease, the histological pathology of it is epidermal hyperplasis, parakeratosis, collection of neutrophils in intraepidermis and many infiltrating monocytes, predominantly lymphocytes in dermis and epidermis. In many years, because of the outstanding pathological changes of epidermis, many investigators considered that psoriasis is a kind of disease with abnormal changing of keratinocytes. But in recent twenty years, more and more studies indicate that psoriasis is a T cell-mediated immunity skin disease. Activated T lymphocyte expresses many adhesive molecules that can accelerate T lymphocyte to homing skin. Cutaneous lymphocyte-associated antigen (CLA) is a special adhesive molecule expressed on T lymphocyte and also as a skin-homing receptor on memory T lymphocyte. In this study, we will explore the immunopathogenic mechanisms by observe the change of T cells subgroup and the CLA expression in skin lesions and peripheral bloods from patients with psoriasis. In some way, it will offer new approach to the prevention and treatment of psoriasis. 76 patients with psoriasis vulgaris are involved of which 20 patients are in progressive stage and 56 patients are in resting stage. We take their skin lesions and peripheral bloods as samples. Immunohistochemistry was taken for frozen sections, peripheral blood...
