Objective To evaluate and compare the influences of TUVP(monopolar) and PKVP(bipolar) on internal environment.Method 133 cases of BPH were assigned into two groups randomly. Group A including 71 cases underwent TUVP, and Group B, the other 62 cases received PKVP, the levels of RBC, Hb, HCT, Cr, BUN, K+, Na+, Cl-, Ca2+ and BS were test in Preoperative and postoperative, and then all the data were underwent statistical analysis.Result No significant differences of the change of RBC, Hb, HCT, Cr, BUN, K+, Na+, Cl- and Ca2+ were observed in Group B when the operation was finished in 60 minutes(P>0.5), but there were differences in Group A(P<0.5), BS was increased in the Group A and was droped in the Group A . There were statistical differences between the influences of PKVP and TUVP to RBC, Hb, HCT, Cr, BUN, K+, Na+, Cl-, Ca2+, BS(P<0.5). There were linear correlationes between the changes of BS, CI- (Group B), BS (Group A) and the operation time; the other indexes have linear correlations with the operation time and body weight separately. No TURS was found in the two groups. Conclusion 1. There were not obviously influences to the internal environment in PKVP when the operation was finished in 60 minutes, PKVP is very safe in this time. 2. The influences of PKVP to internal environment were less than TUVP, We concluded that PKVP was safer than TUVP. 3. The important impact to the internal environment was the operative time in the factors, and then was body weight . The change of the internal environment will increase when the operation time was gone up or the body weight was light. 4. It can avoid the TURS if some relative factors have been controlled in 150 minutes, regardless of PKVP or TUVP.
