This study is to evaluate the use of nano-hydroxyapatite/pol yamide-66(n- HA/PA66) plate to reconstruct the bone and soft palatal defects caused by cleft palate , trauma and tumor in clinic, and to explore the possibility of repairing the tissue defects in the palate with n- HA/PA66.8 goats as experimental animals were divided into experimental group and control group at random. 15.0×20.0mm~2 rectangle tissue were removed in mid part of hard palates, n- HA/PA66 plate were implanted into the experimental group defects. The same size tissues in the control group were removed without the n- HA/PA66 plate implanted. In the 4,8,12,16 weeks after surgery, radiation, histological analysis and scanning electron microscope (SEM)observation were performed to evaluate whether the materials have effects on the reconstruction of the defects in the palates. The results are as the following ,the wound healed over after2weeks. There were significant differences between the experimental and control defect in two groups. In experimental group, the soft tissue regenerated along the n- HA/PA66 plate and defects were closed in 6weeks. The bone tissue regenerated along the n- HA/PA66 plate and defects were closed in 16weeks.The tissue did not close up in control group. No obvious rejection reaction could be observed. It is conclusioned that The experiments demonstrated that the n-HA/PA66 's biocompatibility and bioactivity are good. N- HA/PA66 can reconstruct the palate defect, and have the clinical application value.
