The chromatographic separation and analysis means and its combined techniques have been already rapidly developed in the past and to the perfection gradually. Its application has been extended to phytochemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, clinical and pharmacological research fields and so on. Many difficulties were resolved in those fields. The sample pretreatment is the key of experiment success during the chromatographic analysis, sometimes very complex and time-consuming in experiment. Many kinds of sample pretreatments have been contrived to this day. In this thesis, it was studied that resin and solid phase micro extraction (SPME) techniques selected out from many pretreatment techniques were utilized to the work of chromatography analysis.The studies in this thesis are summarized as follows:1. Studying on adsorption and purification of cichoric acid in Echinacea purpurea extracts with macroporous adsorption resin, combined high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and photodiode array detection (PAD). A rapidly feasible method to supply raw material for the high purity cichoric acid preparation was established.2. A gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS) combined with solid phase micro extraction (SPME) separation and analysis method of volatile organic compounds in dry Bupleurum in China was reported firstly. This method was more simple, speediness, sensitive, accurate and precise than the conventional analysis method.
