Objective:Recovering the vocal cord movement, rebuilding the function of the larynx is one of the important research in Otohinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. This experiment research when one side of recurrent laryngeal nerve(RLN) was cut off in dog, the changes between thyroarytenoid(TA) muscle structure, enzyme histochemistry and super microstructural in fiber in muscle, for next rebuilding the nerve of the larynx again to make the preparation.Method:In nine adult mongrel dogs, 2 dogs for control, andother 5 dogs for the following experiment: a 2 cm segment of the right recurrent laryngeal nerve(RLN) was excised. Dogs was killed at 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 16thand 20thweek. The photographs of the vocal cords was taked before the dogs were sentenced to death , After the dogs were sentenced to death, the thyroarytenoid(TA) muscles were processed for succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) , histochemical reaction and transmission electron microscope(TEM).
