An Experimental Study On Effects Of Fuzheng Anti-tumor Decoction On Hepatocellular Carcinoma Angiogenesis In Nude Mice

Objective: To study the therapeutic effect of Fuzheng anti-tumor decoction onhepatocellular carcinoma and the role of the decoction vascular suppression in nudemice.Methods: 32 nude mice(6 weeks old) were randomly divided into control group,L-Fuzheng group, H-Fuzheng group and ADM group. After the models wereestablished, the tumor volumes were termly measured. On the day 40, the mice werekilled. The expression of VEGF , b-FGF and MVD were detected byimmunohistochemistry, and then compared among these groups.Results: The tumors suppressive rate of L-Fuzheng group, H-Fuzheng group andADM group were 37%, 40% and 34% respectively, without statistic significance ascompared with each other (P>0.05). The volumes of treated groups were lower thanthat of control group (P<0.05) . The expression of VEGF, b FGF and MVD weresignificantly lower in both L-Fuzheng group and H-Fuzheng group than that incontrol group (P<0.05) .Conclusion: Fuzheng anti-tumor decoction could reduce the expression of VEGF,b-FGF and MVD and inhibit the growth of experimental hepatocellular carcinoma innude mice.
