Objective: To observe the contents of serum sex hormone, hemorheology, trace element , and the level of plasma SOD and MDA, so as to study the relationship of TCM types of perimenopausal syndrome and these objective indices, furthermore to testify the objective foundation of the progressing PMS and reveal the internal relation between the experimental indices and TCM types. The study will direct the Treatment of PMS by offering an objective standard.Methods: Select 90 patients, divide into 3 groups by mostly found Gan Shen Yin-deficiency(GSYD),Shen-Yang deficiency(SYD), and Gan-Qi stagnancy(GQS), compared with 30 well-balanced female group. Measure the serum sex hormone by electrochemistrical immunoradiometric assay. Measure SOD and MDA by the yellow-purineoxided enzyme and TBA method.Measure serum trace elements (ig.Zn, Fe, Cu, Mg) by F-AAS; and measuring hemorheology by NEWLEADBV-100 produced by TA1 NUO DE new technology research center.Results: 1. Compared with the control group, levels of serum E2 in the case groups are obviously lower. The relationship of E2 level among the four groups is : the control group> Gan-Qi stagnancy (GQS)> Gan Shen Yin-deficiency (GSYD)> Shen-Yang deficiency (SYD). There is statistic meaning between every two group (P<0.05). Among the case groups, the Gan-Qi stagnancy(GQS) group is the highest(P<0.01).2. Compared with the control group, levels of serum FSH and LH in the case groups are obviously higher. The relationship among the case groups is Gan Shen Yin-deficiency (GSYD)>Gan-Qi stagnancy (GQS)>Shen-Yang deficiency (SYD).The Gan Shen Yin-deficiency (GSYD) group is obviously higher than the other groups (P<0.05). There is no statistical meaning among the case groups in the increasement of serum LH.3. The level of serum testosterone in the case groups is lower than the normal group. Among the case groups , the Gan Shen Yin-deficiency (GSYD)is obviously lower than the other groups.4. The relationsghip of plasma SOD levels is Gan Shen Yin-deficiency (GSYD) < Shen-Yang deficiency (SYD) < Gan-Qi stagnancy (GQS) < the control group. Among them, the Gan Shen Yin-deficiency (GSYD) group is obviously lower than the control group(P<0.001), also lower than the other two case groups (p<0.01).But the level of MDA is quitely reverse.5. In the hemorheology aspect, the low and the high degree of whole blood conglutination, the index of red cell conglomeration and PCV of the Shen-Yang deficiency (SYD)group are all obviously lower than the Gan Shen Yin-deficiency (GSYD) (P<0.01). All indexes of Gan-Qi stagnancy (GQS) is higher than Shen-Yang deficiency (SYD) group.6. In the trace elements aspect, the level of serum Zn in Gan Shen Yin-deficiency (GSYD) group is obviously lower than the other 3 groups (P<0.01), while its level of serum Cu and Mg is higher than the other groups (p<0.05 和 p<0.01). The level of serum Mg in Gan-Qi stagnancy (GQS) group is obviously lower than the other groups (P<0.01). The levels of serum Zn, Fe, Mg and Cu in Shen-Yang deficiency (SYD)group are all lower than the normal group.Conclusion: 1.Patients of PMS is characteristiced firstly by Shen-deficiency, secondly by Gan- stagnancy. YU is the pathologic product of PMS. With the decrease of E2. the state of the illness gets worse. The decrease of E2 may be the substantial base of Shen-deficiency and Tian-Kui exhaustion.2. Among the patients of PMS, Gan Shen Yin-deficiency (GSYD) is in themajority. The high level of FSH and lower blood T, the change of blood rehology wich is featured with relatively ropy, concentrated and slow-paced blood, the reinforcement of free radical and the diminishing content of Zn are all in relation to GSYD.3. Shen-Yang deficiency (SYD) is typical of lowest E2, content of trace element Cu decrease and the change of blood rehology wich is featured with relatively diminishing blood thickness, diluent blood stream and faster velocity of blood flow.4. Gan-Qi stagnancy (GQS) has the highest E2 level, special in lightest free redical reaction, higher content of Fe and lower content of Mg .
