Objectives The relapse rate of opiates dependence is unbelievably great. The investigation shows the anxiety is the important factor to lead to relapse. Current study proves the diazepam binding inhibitor involved in the mechanism for anxiety after drug withdrawal. In this study, electroacpunctrue is used to rats conditioned place preference (CPP) model. Simultaneously examine the mRNA expression of DBI. The objective is to observe whether electroacupuncture can weaken the effect of CPP of morphine dependence rats, and discuss whether the neurobiological mechanism for the formation of the anxiety after drug withdrawal is related to transcription of DBI mRNA.Methods 24 rats are divided into Group control, Group electroacupuncture and Group morphine at random after the trial of the conditioned place preference (CPP) model. Construct the models, prevent with electroacpunctrue and examine the time of CPP after 5 and 10 days treatment. Extract the total RNA of rats brain, and measure the mRNAexpression of DBI with RT-PCR.Results 1 .The time of CPP with the prevention of electroacpunctrue is shorter than one of the morphine, and there is a significant difference (PO.05). 2. The expression of DBI mRNA obviously increase after morphine abstinence, and electroacpunctrue can prevent the increasing. Conclusions 1. electroacpunctrue can decrease the time of CPP due to morphine dependence. 2. The expression of DBI mRNA obviously increase after morphine abstinence, and electroacpunctrue can prevent the increasing. It shows that electroacpunctrue controls the anxiety related to the mediation of the DBI mRNA expression.
