Objective: To study the anti-dysmenorrhea effect of of the Chinese traditional medicine compound -Jingshu soup. Methods: Mouse twisting body method was used to observe the analgesia effect andanti-dysmenorrhea effect of Jingshu soup. The pain was induced by acetic acid and the experimental menorrhalgia model was induced by oxytocin and prostaglandin F 2αrespectively.With the rats model of oxytocin-induced dysmenorrhea, the effect of Jingshu soup on blood hemorheology was observed, and the effect of Jingshu soup on inflammation induced by cotton pellet and croton oil was also observed. The contractile force, frequency and activity of the isolated rat uterus were measured on normal uterus and spastic ones induced by oxytocin. Results: Jingshu soup has marked analgesia effect and can also significantly decreased the number of writhes induced by oxytocin and prostaglandin F 2αin experimental menorrhalgia model in mice and rats. With the rats model of oxytocin-induced dysmenorrhea ,it also can decrease the whole blood viscosity .Jingshu soup has obvious anti-inflammation effect and can significantly inhibited the contraction of of normal and spastic uterus induced by oxytocin. Conclusions: Jingshu soup have obvious analgesia and anti-dysmenorrhea effect,it also can inhibit inflammation and activate blood.
