Septoplasty Using Self-processed Peel Knife With Suction Function Under Nasal Endoscope

Object: To research applies of nasal endoscope and peel knife with suction function in septoplasty.Method: 30 patients with deflection of nasal septum were selected as researching object, including 12 C-form deflection, 10 S-form deflection and 8 other type, by the deflecting type. All of the patients were examined for the exact diagnosis by the nasal endoscope and were put in force the septoplasty using self-processed peel knife with suction function under nasal endoscope.Result: In the septoplasty using peel knife with suction function under nasal endoscope, mucous membrane was perforated only one side in 4 patient, both sides but different position in 1 patient, and mucous membrane was peeled integrity in 25 patient. One month callback checks after operation were got satisfied correction of nasal septum. There were no any septum perforating, nasal bridge collapse and mucous membrane conglutination etc. Ventilating function of nasal cavity was improved, headache was released and nose bleed was charmed away.Conclusion: Septoplasty using self-processed peel knife with suction function had a broad looking area, could operate exactly in a direct looking, had a less scathe, could continue the operation in bleeding condition and the operation period was shorten.
