objective: The effect of Parkinson's disease (PD) and cognitive impairment giving Huperzia serrata ,at the same time cooperationp rehabilitation of cognitive function , in clinical explore a Method of treatmeat progressing PD and cognitive impairment,giving clinical provide conducting.Methods: 66 patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) and cognitive impairment in department of neurology and of the first affiliated hospital of KunMing medical college, randomely divided into two groups,treatment group and control group,each one 33 patients. According to state of illness use Hoehn and Yahr grading. Patienta in the control group were given rehabilitation while those in treatment group were given Huperzia serrata a day taking 300ug ,taking 6 weeks and rehabilitation therapy .and the evaluation was done in pre-treatment,post-treatment 6 weeks respectively.Motor function was assessed in unified Parkinson's disease rating scale (UPDRS), Cognitive function was assessed in P300 and Revised Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale(WAIS-RC) and Wechsler memory scale(WMS).Two groups matching in age sex grading and culture, Parkinson's disease routine treatmeat was not changed. Result At baseline, including in age sex grading culture , (UPDRS), P300 WAIS-RC and WMS,were closely similar to all important prognostic variables in each group. Two groups post-treatmeat score comparison: P300 latent period were all significant differentce (P<0.01) ,the others score were all (P>0.05) ;Experiment group pre-treatmeatand post-treatmeat score comparison : score were all (P<0.05-P<0.01) ; Control group pre-treatmeat and post-treatmeat score comparison latent period N2Cz, P3Fz P3Cz , (P<0.05),the others P>0.05,memory, Intelligence and UPDRS score were all (P<0.01) ; Two groups pre-treatmeat and post-treatmeat score of difference comparison rExcept Intelligence UPDRS were all P>0.05 ,the others score were all significant difference (P=0.000); Two groups pre-treatmeat and post-treatmeat score of variation ratio: Experiment group clearly improved for cognition and movement than Control group.the level of improvement in 1.06-3.68 times.Culture and score comparison: Intelligence and memory with culture were significant difference( P<0.05), the others were all( P>0.05); Grading and score comparison: UPDRS score (P<0.01), the others score were all( P>0.05). Conclusion: These facts suggest that WMS and P300 inspect are sensitive target of Parkinson's disease and cognitive impairment, at the same time appear with dyskinesia. cognitive function rehabilitation or Huperzia serrata paired with cognitive function rehabilitation to progress PD and cognitive impairment are all effective,the later is more effection. dyskinesia. and cognitive impairment of patients in Parkinson's disease are all slow progression ,early diagnosis , therapy and rational taking medicine cooperate cognitive function rehabilitatio that enhance quality of life of patients in Parkinson's disease.The effective intervention should at aim these main reasons.
