Clinical And Experimental Study On Therapy And Preventing Of Post-operative AIO With Regulate Qi And Invigorate The Blood

Objective: To investigate the effect of Regulate Qi and Invigorate the Blood on the postoperational Adhesive Intestinal Obstruction(AIO) and explore the possible mechanisms underlying this effect. Methods: In the clinical study QingChang HeJi with the effect of Regulate Qi and Invigorate the Blood was used in 32 cases of AIO as the control group compared with 30 cases treated by soap-suds for curative effect observation,in comparison with the gurgling sound resume time,exhaust and defecate time,the plasma level of Motilin(MLI)and fibrinogen.In the experiment study,32 rabbits were randomly divided into 4 groups: the normal group, the model group,the control group and the treated group. Intestinal adhensive models were made as reference with the guidance presented by Thomas and Rhoads.The rabbits in the control group were treated with soap-suds enema and QingChang HeJi enema was used in the treated group. On the 2th and 7th day after operation, the blood was drawn to evaluate the plasma level of MLI and fibrinogen. The adhesion was graded on the 8th day after operation. Results: The clinical study showed that QingChang HeJi group had obvious difference with soapsuds soup (p<0.05), in comparison with the effective rate,the gurgling sound resume time,the exhaust and defecate time, the the plasma level of MLI and fibrinogen. The experimental study indicated that the level of MLI in QingChang HeJi group was higher than that of the model group and the control group (p<0.05), the level of fibrinogen and the grades of adhesion in QingChang HeJi group was lower than that of the model group and the control group (p<0.05). Conclusions: QingChang HeJi can help to quicken comeback of intestine and stomach function,to decrease the plasma level fibrinogen and prevent post-operative AIO.
