Objective: To investigate the relationship between the expression of bcl-2, c-myc, iNOS and the apoptosis in esophageal squmous- cell carcinoma tissues of different ethnic patients. Method: 74 cases tissues with esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma and 10 cases normal tumor-adjacent tissues were examined for bcl-2, c-myc, iNOS by immunohisto-chemisry, apoptosis by in-situ TUNEL. Result: l)The positive frequency of expression of bcl-2, c-myc, iNOS in 74 cases tissues with esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma was 21.62%(16/74), 41.9%(31/74), 56.8% (42/74) and 36.5%(27/74)respectively. And the expression of those in normal tumor-adjacent tissues was 0/10, 2/10, 1/10, 2/10. 2)No statistic significance of expression of bcl-2, c-myc, iNOS and apoptosis was found among different ethnic patients (P > 0.05). 3)There were statistic significance among varing degrees of differentiation (P<0.05). (4)There were no statistic significance between LMN and non-LMN(P>0.05). Conclusion: l)The expression of bcl-2, c-myc, iNOS among different ethnic patients have common way. 2)The result suggest that the expression of c-myc, iNOS are cor-related with the degrees of differentiation of esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma. 3)The determination of bcl-2, c-myc, iNOS could be used to assessing the degree of malignancy and predicting the clinical prognosis.
