Objective To evaluate the feasibility and techniques of laparoscopic resection in patients with hepatic hemangioma.Methods A total of 12 patients hepatic hemangioma. underwent laparoscopic partial hepatectomy .The patients consisted of 9 men and 3 women,with the age ranging 40~55 years, averaging 42.3 years. Procedures included introduction of trocar;isolation of the liver from the ligments;dissection of the hepatic parenchyma by PMOD and removal of the samples.Results In all patients,the laparoscopic hepatectomy were successfully performed. The operation time ranged 75~205 min,averaging 145.4 min.Blood loss ranged 100~2000ml,averaging 808.3 ml.The postoperative hospital stay ranged 6~13 days,averaging 8.5 days.No postoperative complications such as bile leakage,intraabdominal bleeding or infection occurred. Conclusions Laparoscopic hepatectomy is safe and feasible for patients with hepatic hemangioma with surgical indications.
