ObjectiveTo evaluate the value of electroencephalogram and short latency somatosensory evoked potentials and auditory evoked potentials in prediction of the outcome in comatose patients.MethodsElectroencephalogram and short latency somatosensory evoked potentials and auditory evoked potentials wereexamined in 32 comatose patients. The electroencephalogram result was diagnosed by HuangYunGui's standard. The short latency somatosensory evoked potentials were recorded N9, P15, N20, P25, and the auditory evoked potential were recorded â… ,â…¢,â…¤. One way ANOVA analysis was used to the data about the comatose stage. And independent t test was used to an uncounted data and x test was used to an counted data. Then logistic regression analysis was used .Results(P25-N20) IPL and (â…¢-â…¤)IPL were an important influencing factors come to short-term and predicted to the pathients with coma. The OD of prolonged (P25-N20) IPL and (â…¢-â…¤ )IPL>2 were 2.318 (p=0.02 ) and 0.112 (p=0.036 ), and the positive predicted probability was 87.5% and the negative predicted probability was 81.3%. Electroencephalogram, P25 IPL, V IPL and ( â… -â…¤)IPL might be an influencing factors come to short-term and predicted to the pathients with coma too, but unreached statistics significance.Conclusion(P25-N20) IPL and (III-V)IPL were an important influencing factors come to short-term and predicted to the pathients with coma.
