Stroke is a worldwide common ailment. Because of its great danger to the health of the elderly and the wrinkly, governments have pay more and more attention on it. Recently, some developed countries organized lots of epidemic researches on the prevalence rules, pathogenic characters and effective preventive measures of stroke.Ever since 1980, chronic non-communicable diseases like stroke have become the main problem that threatens the health of the people, especially the elderly. It is forecasted that the incidence of the disease and the harm it does will rise with the aging of the people and the increase of hypertension.Clinical practices have proved that the majority of the treatments can hardly achieve favorable effect and only minority of the sufferers recover, once stroke arises. Research results have shown that the primary prevention in communities can effectively decrease the incidence and mortality of stroke. Therefore, it is important to find the risk factors and appropriate measures of stroke.This research selects two big mature communities and analyzes the comprehension invention of the risk factors of stroke by the means of historical analysis, Delphi method, social surveys and statistical analysis. The result shows that, (1) hypertension and stroke have genetic tendency and hypertension is an important independence risk factor of stroke. The prevention and treatment of hypertension is important to prevent stroke. (2) To protect and improve the health of the people, we must carry through abroad and systematical preventions in Chinese communities. This article provides an operative mode for the national public health strategy in 21st century. (3) Health education is an important method and group strategy to prevent stroke. General practitioners in lower hospitalscan do great much in the prevention of chronic diseases in communities after regular training. (4) It is critical to improve the degree of branching in communities to raise compliance and to disseminate knowledge and technique quickly.In conclusion, comprehension invention in communities is the basic measure to decrease the incidence and mortality of stroke and most of all, meets the need of our country.
