Study Of Solid Gastric Emptying And Mental Analysis In Old Reflux Esophaditis Patients

Objective: 1) To sthdy the function of solid gastric emptying in eldly reflux esophagitis (RE) patients. 2) To investigate the melancholy and anxiety conditions in old RE patients.3)To investigate the relationship between two mental healty level and gastric empty. 4) To investigate if the 13C octanoic acid breast test is a good technich for eldly patients.Methods: Elderly control group (n=21) and eldly patients (n=33) had no abdominal surgery, gastrointestinal tract, severe liver ,kindey cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. All patients had been proved by gastroscopy and distinguished by the way of 0- â…¢ grade which formulated in YAN TAI in 1999. All patients had typical GRE symptoms such as heartburn or acid regurgitation. The symptoms grade was distinguished by way of 0-3 mark. Antacids and prolinetic agents were discontinued for 3 days prior to the study. The gastric emptying study was hald in a airness room. The melancholy and anxiety score in RE group were higher than that in control group 4, The T1/2 and Tlag in members which SDSscore was above 50 was highter than that below 50. 5> The Tl/2, Tlag In the numbers which SAS score was above 50 was higher than that below 50. 6. All members in RE group and control group had higher adaptability in this test.Conclusions:l The gastric emptying time in eldly RE patients might be significantly delayed ,and symptoms scores was a correlative factor .2. The gastric emptying time had no correlative with the gastroscopy grade in eldly RE patients.3. In eldly RE patients, higher melancholy and anxiety state were exist at large. 4 > Melancholy and anxiety condition mighe be correlative with gastric emptying. 5 s The l3 Coctanoic breast test was a good way to investigate the solid gastric empty in eldly patients.
