Experimental Study On Pharmacology Of Essential Oil Extracted From Artemisia Argyi

Objective: The toxicology and pharmacology experimental study of essential oil extracted from artemisia argyi.Methods: To observe toxicity experiments of KunMing rats quick-tempered toxicity experiment with onetime irrigate stomach, complete and worn skin stimulation experiments of Japan big-ear-white rabbits,to observe medicine stimulation experiments of eye-conjunctiva and ear-edge, allergy effect experiments of mice. etc. The following experiments were carried out: xylene inflammatory, 2,4-nitryl chlorobenzene anaphylactic, mouses hotboard experiment, mouses wriggle experiment, rats appendage experiment, uterus analgesic in rats, etal. after the mice were agministered for 30 days ,the swimming test were carried out and the death time was observed and recorded; after mice swimmed for a period, the blood were taken for determinig urea nitrogen in serum and lactic acid in blood ; the liver were taken for determinig the glycogen, and to observe pharmacology experiments of spleen lymph cells transform experiment of mouse and active measure of NK cells. etcResults: After KunMing rat irrigate stomach, LD₅₀ =3.74ml/kg, both complete and worn skin of Japan big-ear-white rabbit have un-stimulate effect, and the mice have no allergy effect too. The oil of Artemisia argyi significantiy inhibited xylene cause the inflammation of the mouse auricle, the oil inhibited the hypersensitivity reaction of the mouses caused by 2,4-nitryl chlorobenzene, lengthen the reaction latent period of mouses hotboard, and inhibited the times of mouses wriggle, the oil can improve the pain threshold of rats, resist rats contraction reaction caused by interrelated medication. The essential oil extracted from Artemisia argyi prolonged significanty the time of mice swimming and the level of urea nitrogen in serum; Also essential oil extracted from Artemisia argyi inhibited the augment of lactic acid in blood caused by swimming, and accelerated the elimination of the increased lactive acid in blood, and decreased the consumption of glycogen . The oil canpromote spleen lymph cells reproduce, can increase active of NK cells.Conclusion: The oil of Artemisia argyi have no toxicity, no allergy, no stimulate, it has the effects of anti-inflammatory antianaphyactic analgesic, anti-fatigue and immunorepre-ssive.
