Objective: To explore the functions of IL-lp and CRP in thepathogenesis of acute cerebral infarction.Methods: serum levels of IL-1β were measured by enzyme-linkedimmunosorbent assay (ELISA) , and CRP levels were detected by theImmune rate nephelometry.Results: serum levels of IL-1β and CRP within 7days , on the 7th dayand 14th day in patients with acute cerebral infarction increasedremarkably as compaired with the control group (P<0.05) .the levelswithin 7days also increased remarkably as compaired with the levels ofthe 7th day,and the levels of the 7th day increased remarkably ascompaired with the 14th day .There was a positive correlation betweenthe increasing degree of IL-lp and CRP,and also a positive correlationamong different infarct volumes (P<0.05) .Conclusions: IL-lp and CRP possibly play a key role in thepathogenesis of acute cerebral infarction, antiinflammatory drugsperhaps will become potential new therapeutic agents for acute cerebralinfarction.
