Objective To investigate whether cocktailtherapy combined with of neuroprotants may have more advantages over single in treating . rat of Epilepsy.Method Sixty Wistar rats were divided into six groups: Group A, control group;Group B, Anisodamine group;Group C, MgSO4 group;Group D,Nimoldipine group;Group E,nicholin group;Group F, cocktail group;controlled. Experimentations were conducted on ten rats in each group. The Wistar rats were injected abdominally to induce acute GTCS epilepsy seizure by PTZ 35mg/Kg for four weeks. The brain tissue specimens were across-axle sliced by 5μm and dyed by Nissl method, the different pathology atteration was observed by Light microscope and the neuron number in hippocampus CA3 was counted. At the same time ,the blood serum was detected by radio immunoassay. Result The difference was significantly when compared with control group and others (P<0.05).The neuronal degeneration and lightly necrosis and glue hyperplasia and apoptotic body was occurred in temporal lobe and hippocampusareas of the rats pretreated by drugs, but the damage was more serious in the control group. The number statistics difference of neuron and apoptotic body in CA3 area among every group was significantly (P<0.05, P<0.01).Conclusion The cocktail can significantly decrease the epileptic damage induce by PTZ, and the cocktail treatment surpass single drug treatment in therapeutic effect.
