Objective:The aim of this study is to observe the expression of eIF4E itumor in head and neck through the method of immunohistoc-hemistryCompared with the sensitivity between eIF4E and p53 protein. To provide ththeories for the earlier diagnosis of tumor. Methods:Immunohistochemical analysis was preferred on specimenfrom 60 patients with primary LSCC,30 cases of nasopharyngeal carcinoma,3cases of nasal cavity and nasal cavity carcinoma,10 cases of precancerouchange and 10 cases of healthy controls.Approach the clinical significancbinding with the clinical parameter. Results:The expression of eIF4E and P53 protein in LSCC tissues anprecancerous change was significantly higher than healthy controls(P<0.05)The expression of eIF4E in nasopharyngeal carcinoma and nasal cavity annasal cavity carcinoma has no relationship with clinical stage. The expression oeIF4E in LSCC tissues ,nasopharyngeal carcinoma and nasal cavity and nasacavity carcinoma were higher than the expression of P53 in them.Inasopharyngeal carcinoma ,the expression of eIF4E and P53 protein concernedwith lymph node metastasis (P>0.05).Conclusions: The expression of eIF4E and P53 protein in LSCC tissues ,nasopharyngeal carcinoma and nasal cavity and nasal cavity carcinoma wereobviously heighten. The expression of eIF4E and P53 protein in nasopharyngealcarcinoma has positive correlation with lymph node metastasis, and has norelationship with locum and clicinal stage. eIF4E can be regarded as thesensitivity index of the earlier diagnosis of tumor.
