In order to explore the relations of expression and distribution of oncogenes and MDE1 gene with clinical significance of head and neck cancer, the techniques of immunohistochemistry and hybridization were used in the study.PART 1The mono- or poly-clonal antibodies recognizing P21 , EGFE, P62, P63 and PGNA were used in paraffin- embedded materials of 66 cases with laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma. And DNA ploidy in every case was also analyzed. The results showed that P21. EGFE and cytoplasm- type P62 were expressed in carcinoma and normal epithelia, but the expression in carcinoma wa6 higher than in normal epithelia. Accoding to the standards set for positive reaction, the P21, EGFE and cytoplasm- type P62 were 45/66(69.2%), 55/65(84.6) and 68/66 (89. 2%), respectively. Nuclear-type P62 , P53 and PCNA were accumulated in intranucear. Positivities of 37/66(66.9%), 31/66( 47.7%) and 37/66(56.9%) were detected, respectively. Strongly positive staining and multifoei were seen at the margin of infiltration and dysplasia epithelia. Sometimes 6trong 6taining of nuclear-type P62 and PCNA were detected in adjacent-tumor epithelia. The cases of distant-metastasis significantly correlated with positive nuclear- type P62,...
