Chinese herb is the treasure and wisdom from thousands of historyof China. But it faces a lot of resistance when it takes to the world, the main reason is because of quality standard, so it can not attachitself to the world. Since the 20th century, a lot of people have takenpart in the work about quality standard of Chinese herb, and havemade a great deal of achievement. This article takes volatile oil from Chinese herb as the target, discusses and compares extractions, analysis methods and thecomponents from volatile oil of Perilla frutescens(L.) Britt .Volatile oil(essential oil) is the difining of a kind of oil fromplants, which has aroma and low boil. Volatile oil contains terpeneand its oxide, it is contained in plants, and we use its content toestimate its quality. This article describes volatile oil from Perilla frutescens(L.)Britt , the extractions of volatile oil from Perilla frutescens(L.)Britt which use different solvents is compared, optimize theextraction time, separation method, the disposal of solvent.Purified the volatile oil from Perilla frutescens(L.) Britt anddissolved in the solvent, used gas chromatography(FID detector)analyze it. Compared the spectrogram, that the petroleum ether usedas solvent is better than anther. The RSD of relative retention< 0.21 %;The RSD of chromatographic peak area<4.16 %.In addition, this part of the article describes a newmethod-ulterpress extraction, which uses less energy and roomtemperature. Its principium is that used 100-1000MPa press to makethe solvent infiltrated in the cell of the herb, and then keep thepress a few minutes, the effectual component can be dissolved bysolvent, then despress. Than different extractions are compared, theworking condition used as above. So come to the conclusion: the oilfrom Perilla frutescens(L.) Britt that simultaneous distillationand solvent extraction is the best method. In this article, the volatile oil from Perillafrutescens(L.)(both dry and fresh) Britt in the different months, made sure that the best time to collect Perilla frutescens(L.) Britt;moreover, the volatile oil from wild Perilla frutescens(L.) Brittfrom Changbai Mountain and commodity herb Perilla frutescens(L.)Britt from Jiangsu Province has been compared, the oil was analyzedby Angilent 6890N gas chromatography, the working condition used asabove. So come to the conclusion: the oil content of wild Perillafrutescens(L.) Britt which from Changbai Moutain is more than thatof Perilla frutescens(L.) Britt which from Jiangsu Province, provedthat oil content from different region has discrepancy. The volatile oil of wild Perilla frutescens(L.) Britt fromChangbai Moutain was analyzed by gas chromatography – mass spectrumthat described in the last part of the third chapterThere are eighteen compounds detected in the oil of wild Perillafrutescens(L.) Britt from Changbai Mountain, there arel-perillaldehyde(C10H14O), limonene(C10H16), Linalool(C10H18O),α-,β-Pinene(C10H16), elemene(C15H24),α-farnesene(C15H24),cadinene(C15H24) , γ -terpinene(C10H16) , α -copaene (C15H24) ,trans-caryophyllene(C15H24) , germacrene (C15H24) , β-santalene(C15H24) , naphthalene ,1 ,2 ,3 ,4-tetrahydro -1 ,6-dimethyl-4-(1-methylethyl) (C15H24) β -Humulene(C15H24) ,Caryophyllene oxide(C15H24O), tau.-Muurolol(C15H26O) andα-Cadinol(C15H26O).
