| The nutrients that seem to have pharmacologic effectson immune and inflammatory parameters include glutamine,arginine andω-3 fatty acid etc. This area of researchis called immunonutrition. Many studies have showedthat the rate of infectious complications and length ofhospital stay was decreased in those receivingimmunonutrients compared with patients receiving nonutritional support.To the mammary cancer patients, the chemical therapyhave been used as an essential treatment. But as thecomplication of chemotherapy, many patients had thereduction of lymphocyte and neutrophil etc so that theycould not keep the chemical therapy. About thirteenpatients of mammary cancer had been studied. It wasfound that there were obvious difference between thepatients who had received the immunonutrition Impact?and them who received no nutrimental treatment. Butthere were immunosuppression in the patients especiallyin the patients who had received no nutritional support.It may be hoped that the immunonutrition will amelioratethe immunosuppression if immunonutrition can be used atthe exact time and for enough dose. |
