80 strains were isolated from feces of 10 infants and 25 cows in Huhhot by applying selective culture medium and technique of anaerobic incubation of Bifidobacterium.10 strains of them were identified as Bifidobacterium elementarily through the studies of physiological and biochemical characteristics, among them, there were 2 B.choleyium , 4 B.catenulatum , 2 B. adoleacentis , 1 B. infantis and 1B. dentium.Sensitivities of 10 strains to 12 kinds of antibiotics(Amikacin, Norfloxacin, Chloramphenicol, Erythromycin, Levofloxacin, Tetracycline, Acetylspiramycin, Streptomycin, Gentamicin, Metronidazole, Ampicillin, Cephalexin)have been tested. The results revealed that Bifidobacterium catenulatum 53 was sensitive to ampicillin, B.catenulatum 53, B.catenulatum 56 and B.adoleacentis 59 were middle sensitive to tetracycline hydrochloride, B. choleyium 25 and B.adoleacentis 72 were medium sensitive to chlaramphenicol, others showed resistance to given antibacterial drugs to some extent. All of the strains were coherently resistive to aminoglycosides and metronidazoles as the low concentration of antibiotics, however the resistivity of different Bifidobacterium to the antibacterial drugs other than above were different. All of 10 strains were relatively sensitive to tetracycline hydrochloride, chlaramphenicol and erythromycin, as strongly resistive to streptomycin, gentamycin, amikacin and metronidazole.
