Objective: In order to overally get the message of the effects of water defluoridation measures and provide a new approach to the methodological research of endemic fluorosis. Methods: According to the established strategy the author searches find out 450 articles .There are 54 effective articles according to the included and excluded criteria. Meta-analysis is performed by using the statistical software Revman4.2.2. Results: The number of dental fluorosis prevalence rate of children decreases from 63.9% to 23.8%, the prevalence of fluorosis of bone drops in 4.9%, the fluoride concentration in water and urinary fluorine draw 5.31mg/L down 1.50mg/L during 11-20 years of defluoridation. The number of dental fluorosis prevalence rate of children decreases from 78.6% to 23.9%, the prevalence of fluorosis of bone drops in 19.2% during 21-31 years of defluoridation. The fluoride concentration in water decreases from 4.85mg/Lto 0.60mg/L after 13 years of defluoridation. The economic returns obviously increase and the biochemical indicators of blood step down. Conclusions: Water improving for defluoridate is an efficacious method for endemic fluorosis control. Dropping the fluoride concentration in water is very important. If the fluoride concentration of water decreases down the permissional standard, dental fluorosis prevalence rate of children, the prevalences of fluorosis of bone, and urinary fluorine get down. The food earnings, cash receipets, hemat-fluorine and ALP indirectly reflect the effects of water...
