Objective: To discuss primarily the feasibility of producing a kind of soft-gelatin capsules with effect on hepatoprotective and hypolipid. The producing method includes steps mentioned below. The material was residue of grapes in winery, two compositions—grape peel and grape seed oil—were separated from waste residues. The Oleanolic acid(OA) from crude extraction of the grape peel was identified as the main functional component, and the extraction also comprised grape seed oil as solvents, Together with some supplemental material, the soft-gelatin capsules were made ultimately. Methods: ①The main component of soft-gelatin capsules was extracted from grape peel, then the making prescription would be selected and the best method of making capsules would be dicided. ②The content of OA was determined by HPLC, and the stability of products was primarily observed through accelerating test. ③On the basis of two animal models, which include high cholesterol and CCl4 acute hepatic injury mice of model, the antilipemic and hepatic-protection functions of soft-gelatin capsules were primarily observed. Results: The soft-gelatin capsules can be produced successfully with the combination of grape peel extraction and grape seed oil. Both middle and high level dose groups can lower the levels of triglycerides (TG) and high level dose also increase HDL in the serum of the hyperlipemia mice. Also can middle and high level dose groups decrease the levels of ALT and AST in the serum of hepatic injury mice. But the histopathological characteristic was not obviously improved. Conclusion: This study demonstrates the prescription about making grape...
